Please Note:
Beginning in 2016, we were no longer the OEM pickguard supplier to G&L, so please contact us if your guitar does not have our part number written on the back or was made after 2016. On the Tribute ones, you will need to send us your original guard to copy; we’ll return it to you with the new one.G&L Guitars was founded by Leo Fender & George Fullerton at the Historic location on Fender Ave. in Fullerton, CA. The McLaren family, and Johnny McLaren in particular have kept the great vibe of the place alive with much original equipment, great photos of Leo, Fender & G&L Employees, & Artists past & present adorning the walls. The day after Leo Passed away, the door to his office was locked & everything remains untouched as he left it. The factory has modernized with CNC machine tools, but much of the handmade qualities of their instruments remain. In addition to their American manufacturing, G&L imports a line of instruments bearing the “Tribute” designation. Leo Fender was always very nice to us and we were proud to be associated with him & his company. G&L is now owned by BBE.
Generally, the G&L Pickguards have a part number on the back of the pickguard. This number will tell us exactly which part to make that will match your guitar & the screw holes, etc.
